How To Measure
How To Measure Your Body
In order to measure the correct body size, we recommend you take the following measurements using a soft tape measure. If necessary, ask someone to help.
Bust
The bust is the major part of your measurement for a jacket. You must first stand up and loosen your posture.
To have a better measurement, lift your arms and wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest. Watch Video Here
Sleeve
Keeping your arm straight by your side, measure from the tip of your shoulder to your wrist. Watch Video Here
Shoulder
Relax your shoulders and measure from one edge of the shoulder to the other, across the back from shirt seam to seam. Watch Video Here
Length
The best way to determine the length of your jacket is by placing the tape at the center back of your neck.
This is typically at the base of the back of your neck or the base of your collar and guide the tape vertically to the centre point of your waist or to where you need your hemline to end. Watch Video Here
Natural Waistline
Pass the tape measure around your natural waistline, at the narrowest point of your waist. This is normally below your rib cage and above your belly button. You can also bend to one side to find the natural crease of your waist
The tape measure should be put comfortably loose around this waist line rather than being pulled too tight. Watch Video Here
Lower Waistline
Lower waist is measured at the widest part of the waist. This is normally at the belly button or a little lower. Watch Video Here
Hips
Stand with your feet together. Measure the circumference of your hips at the fullest part, ensuring the measuring tape is horizontal around your body. Watch Video Here
Disclaimer: If your jacket’s preferred length covers the hips, please proceed to take your hip measurements. If the preferred length does not cover the hips, select “0” for hip measurements.
